Provisionally Registered Teacher Induction and Mentoring Programme
The NTK induction process is designed to support you over a minimum two-year period, helping you move from a Provisional Practicing Certificate (Tōmua) to a Full Practicing Certificate (Tūturu).
To be eligible to apply for a full practicing certificate, you must:
Be working in a position larger than 0.5 FTE (or equivalent)
Complete a minimum of two years in this role
This process ensures you have the guidance and support needed to develop your practice and meet the requirements for a full practicing certificate.
Child Protection Training
As part of our induction process, all kaiako are expected to complete the online Child Protection Training within their first few months of appointment.
This training provides a strong foundation in child protection and is available on an ongoing basis.
How to Access the Training
Ensure you have an Education Sector Login (ESL).
Go to the Education Learning Management System.
Select Login with ESL.
From the top menu, choose Catalogue.
Select Child Protection to begin the training.
