From Egg to Chick: Hands-On Learning at Pinegrove Kindergarten
Many of our kindergartens give tamariki the opportunity to care for animals, whether it's feeding chickens, tending to pets, or exploring the natural world through real-life experiences. Teacher’s Day at Nelson South Kindergarten
Our Vietnamese student teacher organised a Teacher’s Day to celebrate the teachers at NSK . This links to the Vietnamese celebration, on this particular date, where students celebrate their teachers, appreciating and showing gratitude for who they are and what they do as teachers.
Our whānau supported the cause and spoiled the teachers with yummy treats and colourful flowers .
The children shared their gratitude through writing/drawing cards for the teachers. They also got to learn a little bit about what their teachers favourite food, animal, colour, and superhero are.
Tino Rangatiratanga flag with Matangi Āwhio Auckland Point Kindergarten
Whilst we couldn't all join Hīkoi mō te Tiriti today we tried to show our tautoko through our mahi!
Ngā tamariki worked collaboratively on a big Tino Rangatiratanga flag throughout the morning.
