Teacher Aide | Waverley Street Kindergarten

Part-time | Permanent

We are seeking an enthusiastic and caring person who has a genuine passion for working with young children and who relates well to tamariki and whānau. The successful applicant will enjoy working collaboratively within a supportive teaching team and will value the principles of Te Whāriki and a bicultural learning environment.

This role involves working alongside the teaching team to:

• Support the supervision and care of tamariki throughout the day

• Assist with the teaching and learning programme

• Support children’s play and learning experiences

• Help with tidy-up and general day-to-day tasks within the centre environment

• Provide cover for breaks and non-contact/release time for other staff members

This is a part-time position of 5 hours per week, worked on a Wednesday.
