Casual Teacher Aides Needed | Nelson

We are looking for enthusiastic and caring casual Teacher Aides who have a genuine passion for working with young children. Our ideal applicants relate well to tamariki and whānau, enjoy being part of a team, and like working in a supportive, collaborative environment. An understanding of Te Whāriki and a willingness to be part of a bicultural learning environment is important to us.

As a casual Teacher Aide, you will work alongside our teaching teams to:

• Support the supervision and care of tamariki throughout the day

• Assist with the teaching and learning programme

• Encourage and support children’s play and learning experiences

• Help with tidy-up and general day to day tasks within the kindergarten

• Provide cover for breaks and non-contact/release time for teaching staff

• Confidence in te reo Māori would be an advantage

This is a casual role, and we are looking to build a pool of reliable Teacher Aides who can step in as needed.
