Tino Rangatiratanga flag with Matangi Āwhio Auckland Point Kindergarten
Whilst we couldn't all join Hīkoi mō te Tiriti today we tried to show our tautoko through our mahi!
Ngā tamariki worked collaboratively on a big Tino Rangatiratanga flag throughout the morning.
We ripped up pieces up pango and whero paper (some of us channeling more Hana power than others!) and then used them to glue onto our flag.
We talked about working together and what the different colours mean.
• Te Korekore, potential being (pango)
• Te Whai Ao, coming into being (whero)
• Te Ao Mārama, the realm of being and light (mā).
Moving from our potential and all we bring with us and coming into being is something we see unfold in so many ways at Matangi Āwhio!
Mīharo mahi tamariki!
