Maintenance Support Person

Are you a hands-on, proactive person with a knack for fixing things and keeping spaces tidy and safe? Join our dedicated team and make a real difference in the day-to-day running of our kindergartens.

About the Role:

As Maintenance Support, you'll play a key role in maintaining a safe, welcoming, and well-kept environment for tamariki, kaiako, and staff. Every day will be different – from fixing furniture and checking water temperatures, to garden upkeep and minor repairs.

You’ll work closely with our Property Manager and liaise with our kindergarten staff to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

• General maintenance and repairs

• Garden upkeep and tidying outdoor spaces

• Clearing drains and gutters

• Building washing and exterior cleaning

• Replenishing safe bark levels

• Daily and weekly record-keeping

• Regular meetings with the Property Manager

• Identifying and reporting hazards

Who We’re Looking For:

Someone who is:

• Practical, reliable, and safety-focused

• Flexible with a positive, can-do attitude

• Able to build strong working relationships with staff

• Committed to the Treaty of Waitangi and respectful of all cultures

• Able to pass a safety check including a police vet

Experience in general maintenance is a bonus, but the right attitude is just as important.
