Kaiako - Matangi Āwhio Auckland Point

We’re seeking a kaiako to join our team who is confident using te reo Māori as we transition to a bilingual kindergarten. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering te reo Māori alongside tamariki, other kaiako, and whānau. They’ll be self-motivated to grow their knowledge and use of te reo Māori, be a team player, take initiative, and have a passion for teaching young tamariki.
Kei te kimi mātou o Matangi Āwhio he Kaiako e māia ana ki te kōrero Māori i tēnei whakawhitinga ki tē kōhungahunga reo rua. He manawanui tōna ki te tukuna te reo Māori i te taha o ngā Tamariki, ngā hoa mahi me ngā whānau. He kaiako whakahihiko ki te tipu i tōna mātauranga me te whakamahi i te reo Māori, kia mahi tahi, he koi, he ngākau nui hoki mō te whakaako tamariki.
You’ll participate in developing and enhancing teaching practices, engage in collaborative planning, and help foster a strong sense of community. The team are passionate about incorporating the languages and cultures of each whānau.
Ka whakauru e koe ki ngā mahi whakarite, whakapakari hoki a mātou tikanga akoranga, māhere, me te kōtahitanga ki te hapori. He tima ngākau nui ki te whiri i te reo me ngā tikanga o ngā whānau katoa o Matangi Āwhio me te whakapakari I ngā akoranga o te ao Māori.
