Welcome to our Open Day!
To celebrate New Zealand National Kindergarten Day on 10 June, we’re opening the doors of all Nelson Tasman Kindergartens and warmly inviting our communities to come in, have a look around, and experience kindergarten for themselves.
Whether you’re starting to think about early childhood education for your tamaiti, are new to the area, or are simply curious about what kindergarten is all about, we’d love to welcome you.
National Kindergarten Day marks the opening of the very first kindergarten in New Zealand in Dunedin on 10 June 1889. More than 130 years later, kindergartens continue to be places where tamariki learn through play, build confidence, develop friendships, and feel a strong sense of belonging within their community.
